I am having an issue using transmission-gtk. It was working fine and I don't really know why it stopped, I didn't do any updating or anything. I am running xubuntu 14.04. Anyway, when I try to run...

This may seem silly but I am at a loss here. (i realized after I submitted the thread that I am not sure about LDAP and whether or not I installed/enabled it) I am not sure what I did wrong to my...
it all depends on the game developers as well as your desktop manager. how it reports your screens to the game etc etc. I have a few games that will launch on both monitors acting as if i have 1...
great questions. dealing with PPA's has become sort of a tricky thing in Ubuntu (my opinion) because the mesa library files and what not, example is libegl1-mesa is 1 of those packages that affects...
i have the C260 and C920 and both work out of the box. C920 is the best, it has a built in hardware encoder for 1080p video. ;)

I've been using linux since 2005 and personally really like what Canonical is doing with Ubuntu. I want to see the Linux desktop in become a choice for the average consumer, I thought I would do what...
yeah that's an older version of mesa/opengl. i would suggest trying out xorg-edgers ppa
maybe try out the latest development of mesa and the i915 driver but you're not going to get many FPS outta an internal gpu, especially with intel. you can get it from xorg-edgers i believe
WOW, that's impressive! good to know AMD is thinking about more than just their openGL drivers. openCL is EPIC!
so which kernel are you using please do tell? also, i need to know which mesa/libgl libraries you're using as well.
i'm really wanting to test these drivers out on my system which has an A8 Series APU but I can't figure out how to install them. I try to download the *.deb and it fails right away saying i have a...
after enabling the xorg-edgers ppa you needed to run
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
that should update your mesa/opengl graphics stack but it sounds like you just had a hiccup with a steam runtime...
are you back using 14.04 or trying to get 14.10 working? are you using the default AMD driver provided with Ubuntu? I would suggest you enable the xorg-edgers ppa for better open source AMD drivers...
i'm a little confused, you're using ubuntu "server" but trying to launch serious sam hd? you can see the first error is "Application tried to create a window, but no driver could be loaded" and it's...
YES, more RAM! :)

game audio is fine in 64bit ubuntu 14.04.1. it's something with your local configuration. try the arch wiki for steam audio issues, they "may" shed some light. what I find most weird is that you...
the problem is most likely you're steam was installed before you installed the graphics driver or the other way around I forget. basically the libGL symlinks that AMD driver package is suppose to...
Vero has launched and it's a very exciting time, the same developer that brought you Raspbmc and Crystalbuntu is now providing a new HTPC OS and it even putting it straight on a flagship device....
