First I would recommend that you have a problem that you ABSOLUTELY can not live with before you re-install.

I did a re-install and encountered a HOST of problems that did not previously exist....

If you entered all the comands at once, i would suggest you do them one at a time.

You might also want to change the version number to match the current one, 3.21.73, at this writing.

I found a work-around.

First i went to:
https://launchpad.net/~opencpn/+archive/opencpn for the PPA

Opened my terminal, added the ppa -


:~$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:opencpn/opencpn

bump

When I try to install opencpn.deb (a marine chart ploter) using the ubuntu software center, i get the message "cannot install 'libgl1-mesa-glx' ".

I too, disliked Unity. Some months later I am comfortable with it....

I would reccomend using the live UBUNTU CD and GPARTED to delete and resize the partitions.
