    Lightbulb New howto series idea

I'm good with releasing programs. There's no problem there for me. The problem is getting them online. A .tar.gz is one thing. But I have NO clue about how to use CVS or SVN for versioning control. Someone want to help this poor soul out?

If this materializes (which would be great, by the way) it'd be really fantastic if the other ones were mentioned too--Bazaar (which Lanuchpad uses), git...

Never used CVS, when I've looked at it it seems very confusing. SVN is really easy to use once you know how, and distributed systems such as mercurial or git are even better (although slightly more complex). I'd be happy to write the article, but with my history of article writing it's probably best if someone else has a shot!
