Unhappy [SOLVED] Doesn't boot into gnome

When my laptop boots into Ubuntu, instead of going to gnome it takes me to a command line that says:
    Code:
    19+0 records in
    19+0 records out
    kinit: name_to_dev_t(/dev/disk/by-uuid/2f2c18fd-9e97-45a5-a0cf-3865581285ef) = dev(8,4)
kinit: trying to resume from /dev/disk/by-uuid/2f2c18fd-9e97-45a5-a0cf-3865581285ef
kinit: No resume image, doing normal boot...
What does this all mean and how do I fix it?

If it helps, I am running Ubuntu 8.10 64-bit.

I've never had a question that wasn't answered within the first day...

Re: [SOLVED] Doesn't boot into gnome

I'm having this very same problem (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1004856) Did you ever find a solution?

Oops, I don't know how I marked this as solved by accident.
