Check the x64 benchmarks as well, clearly superior to their x32 counterparts for both distros.

Perhaps your title could have reflected how the kernel is using the 64bit cpu more effectively these days as the speed tests on the current releases of Ubuntu & Fedora indicate.
Which is great, since most of the cpu's being sold for some years now have been 64bit.
^Spot-on. Even if Fedora performed better I suspect many of us would still use Ubuntu. With the performance differences being minimal, it really comes to the feature set of each distribution and which one you are most familiar with (Ubuntu / Debian vs. Fedora / Red Hat) when deciding between these two popular Linux distributions.
Good to see the benefits of 64-bit clearly demonstrated, an interesting read.
Hahaha, Fedora's scores are horrible!

Well, they are using the same underlying systems and Kernel, aren't they.
There should not be much difference.
Approach life & cooking with reckless abandon.
I gave up trying to test out Fedora after not being able to boot into a graphical environment. Even after changing the graphic mode in the bootline.
