Cookies and cream
I am installing Ubuntu 8.10 on my HP Pavilion and it seems to be hanging when the live cd status bar loads. This happened when I installed 8.04 on this machine awhile ago but have since upgraded the hard drive so I am doing a fresh install. Using 'acpi=off' worked then but does not work now. Anyone suggestions?

Anyone? HP kicked my away saying they only offer Linux support to certain models on the corporate support plan. I have tried every parameter I can think of. anyone know?
