Ubuntu on hp dv5 series notebook!

Hi Im interested in installing ubuntu on my hp pavilion which has a Intel mobile PM or GM45 chipset....will ubuntu work on it..has anyone tried installing on this particular notebook

I have Ubuntu (8.10) on a HP Pavilion dv5-1035eo laptop and it works perfect, except for two things:
1. WLAN does not work out-of-box, i.e. make sure you have wireless connection when installing. I installed ndiswrapper "Windows wireless drivers" (net5211) and it works fine. I was not able to make other Atheros-wlan-chipset fixes work (madwifi, etc.)
2. Resume from suspend does not work for me, keyboard+mouse are frozen. I have not had the time to look into this properly yet.
