I don't know if anyone has done so yet, but I just got the wiimote working in Ubuntu 8.10 64 bit. The only problem I had was that the AC kept blowing out one of my tea candles... I need to go get a wireless sensor bar...
If I were rich, I'd be eccentric, Since I'm not... I'm just crazy...

I've had it going in 8.1 and 9.04.
And you don't want a wireless sensor bar, they go through batteries like a mofo unless you want to keep turning it on/off every time you want to use it. I bought a wireless one for $5 and ended up cutting up an old USB cable and soldering it to the battery terminals inside it to make it wired. That way it just sits on my computer and is always on.

I just got the wiimote working with 9.04, as a joystick using the neverball thing. It's great! But one thing I'm unsure of: How do I offset the axis so that I hold the wiimote vertically in the null position, rather than horizontally? I looked through this thread and tried my google-fu, but I couldn't find anything relevant.

Also: Has anyone managed to get the wii motion plus thing working? I bought one for the wii, but I was wondering if it could be useful for more subtle input on a pc.

I use gksudo but it still asks me for the password when I run it. Is there another way to make it stop asking for the password? I use BlueProximity to fire the command when I turn on the remote so I don't want to have to use a keyboard to put the password in.

Hi guys, has anyone been able to bind the wiimote to the keyboard? For some reason I can't seem to bind any of the buttons to the keyboard, only mouse.

WOW 21 pages. Maybe it was asked, but I have it working as an ACC mouse but I want to change the button to do custom task like Play/Pause Mouse Scroll up/down Volume up/down.

    gksudo gedit /etc/cwiid/wminput/buttons

I see all the BTN_Left and right

    AND

    http://abstrakraft.org/cwiid/browser...ction_enum.txt

I see all the commands I hope

How do I change it so that it works so far changing them hasn't done a thing? (Please show me)

It would be nice to turn off the acc and ir and just use the buttons. how would I alter my command? (Please show me)

Would I need to make 2 command for each Wiimote?

OKAy so changing the WII mote things also changes the MOUSE things... somehow

How do I make it so I can use it as a remote not a mouse?

I've got a bluetooth adapter and the Wiimote works, but I would like to use it as a mouse. If I bought a wireless sensor bar, would it work?
