touchpad vertical mouse speed way too fast, horizontal too slow

Thirded... just noticed this today. Vertical mouse movement is about right. Horizontal movement is way fast.

Edit:

This has something to do with the ATI driver or multi-desktops because I had two monitors configured this morning (single desktop), switched to just the laptop screen this afternoon, and noticed it then.

I went back into the ATI driver and confirmed that I was using a single monitor (the laptop screen) and the weird speed difference between vertical and horizontal mouse movements disappeared.

I have the same problem.

I have an ATI board but had never connected the laptop to other monitor.

Please help.. this is driving me crazy

Same here (free ATI driver) but with an USB mouse... I have to reboot 3/4 times before the mouse moves correctly.
