Much much better .. things act as I anticipate they should. Interfaces on General tab still does not detect all my interfaces, but i can add them manually for now.
Thanks again.

can you check if the nvidia portion is working correctly again? make sure you put in your user name, then to check if it is working open gconf-editor and go to apps->compiz->general->screen0->options when you change from powersaving and performance it should check and uncheck sync_to_vblank. It's working again for me now so I just wanted to check if it was working for anyone else.
Confirmed .. Powersave unchecks it .. Performance checks it.
Good work.
However the setting is not changing in nvidia-settings, only in compiz. Is this intended?

correct, the guide I followed (vor's powersaving thread) just had that section, it only saves power if your actually using compiz. Still need to add in the xorg.conf stuff now to enable the generic nvidia power savings, maybe I'll put it in the installer since its a one time thing.
edit: as far as I know there isn't a cli equivelent to nvidia-settings. if you know a way to change them without the gui let me know and I can add it in.

That would be awsome .. whenever you need more tested just yell.
Iggy .. it looks like the Tacker option does not save if you click it. Just something to look at when you get a chance.
ok tracker bug is fixed now. I don't use that option so hadn't caught it.
Installer is also not auto-updating from SVN. I am doing it manually stil then running the installer.

actually the installer wasn't intended to update automatically but thats a good idea...I'll have to add it in.
edit: also stop the daemon before you do a new install sudo /etc/init.d/wattospm-daemon stop. Then after the install.. sudo /etc/init.d/wattospm-daemon start (if you've installed before and are already in the powermanagers group you don't need to restart)
