Updates download slowly

For the past week or so, any updates download so slowly that in many cases they fail. I have a dsl connection that is fast and downloads from other sources are unaffected. is there a problem with the servers?

Ive been having a similar problem, but not to the point where they fail.

I was just assuming they where bogged down from everyone updating.

Go into System -> Administration -> Synaptic Package Manager -> Settings -> Repositories and use the main server. Don't forget to press the Reload button.
