usplash display issues...

When I boot my computer, usplash displays properly - no jagged colors or anything. However, when shutting down, usplash switches to 16 bit color mode, resulting in jagged colors and a really ugly looking ubuntu usplash. This is also true for other uspash themes I have installed. Currently using the ubuntu-studio usplash, which has the fewest colors, but still displays the problem.

Any Ideas on how to fix this?

I have also just noticed this problem too. When I restart or shut down the ubuntu usplash color is all messed up. If anyone knows how to fix this problem that would be great.
