The medion wireless switch works differently to most other laptop,
you need software that only works in windows to turn it on and off.
I've been looking for a solution for years....and now i have it.

The about a week ago I found something in bios.
under advanced, there was an option "wireless" which was set as "disabled",
I simple changed it to the other option "last state" and bam! I can use wireless in Ubuntu

    hope this helps
