[SOLVED] How can I make Kubuntu recognize my monitor correctly?

Hi; my problem is that I've installed Kubuntu 8.10 to my computer, installed Nvidia graphic drivers, and I can't get the native resolution, which is 1680x1050, of my LCD monitor. It is not in the options of either nvidia settings or kubuntu's default resolution changer. I tried adding it manually to xorg.conf, but it didn't help.

The problem, I believe, arises from the fact that Kubuntu recognizes my monitor as CRT instead of LCD. I had this very same problem in Ubuntu 8.04, and I'd solved it via Screens & Graphics utility (by introducing my monitor as LCD), but there is no such utility in 8.10. So, my question is, do you know any program or any way that will make Kubuntu recognize my monitor as LCD? Thanks.

EDIT: I've solved this problem: http://ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php...50&postcount=2
