    Slow internet on 8.10

    Hello!
I recently installed Ubuntu 8.10 on my computer and almost everything is working fine. Except my internet is twice as slow it was on Windows XP. I have two computers hooked up to the same cable, Ubuntu's internet is two times slower. Especially Youtube and Google. By the time half a video has played and fully loaded on XP, Ubuntu is at about 1/4 because of all the hang-ups. Any ideas?

PS: If this is in the wrong section, move it.

    Re: Slow internet on 8.10

Okay, on the Ubuntu IRC I was suggested to nslookup my DNS servers. In the resolv.conf file there were 2 IP addresses. When I nslookup-d the first one, it failed, saying ** server can't find <some-weird-IP>, but the second one was successful. So I tried commenting out both IP-s, but my browser stopped working. Then I commented out only the bad one, and my internet speed didn't increase (at least I didn't notice it). What should I do now?
