How to configure a dialup connection with 8.10?

Does anyone here remember what a dialup connection is? I still use dialup but I can't find a way to configure it in Ubuntu 8.10. I don't find it mentioned in any documentation. I can't even find 8.10 documentation at all. Has dialup configuration been eliminated? If not, is there a tool for configuring dialup? What happened to "Networking" anyway? Is there a document that discusses networking in 8.10?

Try installing gnome-ppp if you have some form of internet connection. The app will be listed under Applications > Internet after it is installed and provides a simple GUI for configuring a dial-up connection.
