Thanks for the help. Unfortunately, it still does not work. When running the configure script, I get the following at the end:

    Code:

Note: this package only supports Xorg server older than 1.6.5.
You are running a newer version.
    Please build xf86-input-wacom instead.

You can build the kernel driver from this package though.

Re: Wacom tablets in Ubuntu guide/howto

I think you're good despite the warning. It says:
    Code:
    wacom.o - yes
so it is ready to build the wacom.ko. And:
    Code:
           wacom_drv.so - no /usr/lib/xorg/modules/input
            wacom_drv.o - no
So the configure.in is not planning on building the X driver.

Are you saying that make then doesn't work?

It was my bad, I should have checked out the HowTo more carefully. I needed to also follow the xf86-input-wacom instructions. It works now...

Re: Wacom tablets in Ubuntu guide/howto

I'm having some trouble getting my tablet pc (Lenovo X200) to work. So far I've gotten Wacom stylus input to work correctly, but I have a stylus/multitouch screen so I'm having trouble with the multitouch part.

    I'm using 9.10 and I followed the guide https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Wa...hooting#serial.

What I'm noticing is that after I restart X, the stylus input works correctly, I'm able to run wacom tools and configure it, everything works great.

When I touch the screen with my finger it responds for a couple inputs and places the cursor in the top left and responds as if it were clicking. But after that all input stops, and not even the pen works anymore.

I tried commenting out the touch input section, and the same thing happens, except when I touch my finger nothing happens at all, but the stylus stops responding.

I feel like I'm close to getting it to work. Thanks for any help anyone can give me.

Re: Wacom tablets in Ubuntu guide/howto

    Hi everyone

I also have Lenovo X200 TabletPC. I managed to get tablet and touchscreen work quite easy on Lucid (10.04) since it almost worked right from the Lucid LiveCD.
But from what I've noticed, changing pressure curve (with xsetwacom) doesn't seem to take effect. xsetwacom reports presscurve as 0,0,100,100, then I'm changing it to, say 50,0,100,0, xsetwacom says it's changed, but i don't see the difference on apps (Gimp, Xournal) - it still has too sensitive (hard to draw thin line - little more pressure causes max pressure in app).
And Gnome Tablet Apps (http://alexmac.cc/tablet-apps/) sees tablet devices, shows straight presscurve from bottom-left to top-right and I can't change it.
    Any ideas?
    I'm using xserver-xorg-input-wacom 1:0.10.5

And I've checked it on my PC with Wacom Intuos3 (Lucid, 64bit though) - changing presscurve through xsetwacom works here, so the issue is tabletPC/x200-specific.
