    Ibex Sticky Hot Keys

    Hi,

I have recently upgraded my laptop to 8.10 having previously run both 8.04 and 7.10 on it fine.

It is a Fujitsu-Siemens Amilio laptop. The Hot Key buttons used for turning up and down the volume, increasing and decreasing screen brightness are behaving very odd. They worked fine in previous releases.

When I hold down the function key and press the volume up button it just keeps turning up and ends up crashing the laptop because it never releases the key stroke. The only way to break out of the problem is to force a log out and log back in again.

Has anyone got any ideas? Do you need any further information? The software is fully patched up to today.

    BUMP!

I am having the exact same problem

    Compaq R4125CA.

The volume keys are actual hardware keys (below screen) that do not require a function key to be hit.
