    Question command line network monitor?

Is there a command line tool to monitor network activity and throughput? Maybe something similar to top?
    Thanks

Yes, there is. Not installed by default though:

    sudo apt-get install iftop

The program you are looking for is called iptraf, it is available in the repositories,.You can use Add/Remove Programs, Synaptic Package Manager and of course the command line to install it.
