Hi Guys,

I recently purchased a Dell 2409W and just installed Intrepid on my M1530 Laptop.

Before I installed the proprietary drivers from Nvidia (I'm using 173) I simply went to the "Monitor Resolution Settings" and set my External Monitor to 1920x1080 (It's native res through HDMI) and I set my laptop's monitor resolution to "Off".

I then install the proprietary drivers, and when I restart, my login screen appears on my laptop all scaled wrong (like as if it were my external monitor) but I still manage to login. After I login, the resolution fixes itself. However, no output to my external.

I then go up to the "Monitor Resolution Settings" and now all I see is "Unknown" as my connected panels.

What I plan to achieve, I want my laptop screen to turn off when my big screen is connected to the laptop, but when I have nothing connected to my laptop (i.e. When I'm at Uni) I want the resolution to be set to 1440x900 on my laptop screen.

Any help appreciated.
