    knetworkmanager never completes connection

I am having issues with knetworkmanager on kubuntu 8.04(64 bit). Knetworkmanager connects to my wireless router, but it never completes the connection. It sits in the taskbar spinning with the progress bar at 100%. It does not matter what wireless network I connect to or wether it is encrypted or not, it never finalizes the connection.

Now, once the progress bar hits 100%, I can use the wireless network, but Firefox is always in work offline mode, and konqueror will not connect to the internet.

Any ideas what is going on here? I'm not sure what information might be of help, so if you need some specifics, let me know and I will do my best to provide them.

    Thanks,

    Re: knetworkmanager never completes connection

Same issue here, but on a kubuntu 8.04 32bits. My wireless connectivity was working flawlessly, but since yesterday (when I had to reboot the computer) I have had the same problems (knetworkmanager detects the wifi, but can't finish the negotiation to complete connection). I have to try several times and suddenly it connects and from then on I have no more problems (so the issue is really to finish registering the connection, not detecting the network or communicate with it once the connection is open).

The connection process seems to block at 28% if this is ever helpful. I think the problem comes from an update to knetwork manager from several days go, but still this week I think.

    Any ideas?
