I don't know what I've done really... I restarted the system(8.10) after a couple of hours of screwing around with settings and get this error message during boot.

(EE) fglrx(0): Unknown EDID version 0

I've tried to both use a backup of xorg.conf and reinstall ENVYNG and all FGLRX related drivers I could find i Synaptic but nothing helps... still get that same error message and have to boot with vesa driver(I think). Every time I try to activate Enhanced Graphics I'm told to reboot and upon reboot I get that same error again.
