    Hello all,
my purpose is to revert a full ubuntu desktop installation into a ubuntu minimal one (link), and then reinstall only the stuff I want. Either this or find a way to install ubuntu mini through wubi (not possible afaik). (Please don't propose alternative solutions like partitioning and so on, I'm interested in this specifical way of installing ubuntu.)

Is it so that using the instructions in the quoted link I get my purpose (apart from the last instruction, "apt-get install xubuntu-desktop")?

Can you post the output of these commands?
    sudo apt-get update
    cat /etc/apt/sources.list

same problem. I installed kubuntu-desktop 1st, then was trying to remove gnome (so I removed && install cmd at the end).
This can be the cause.. Any solution?
