    @dfreer
    In a way, you solved it... I read your forum post for zsnes here, and you had a thing in there about prelink and execstack. I figured, what the heck, couldn't hurt to try it with ePSXe. execstack returned an error that it was a upx compressed executable. So I looked into that, and it solved my issues.

    @Rinzwind
    1) ya, read dfreer's reply, not a really good idea. I suggest installing some of the other 32bit libs anyway, and that will give you your lib32 directory.
    2) Thanks, I will fix that right after I finish this post.

    ROFL... wow

    EDIT: BTW, for anyone who wants them... AMD64 .debs of lib32gtk1.2 and lib32glib1.2 are now available in my gutsy repository, or here if you just want the files:
    http://packages.dfreer.org/pool/guts...y-amd64/lib32/
    Should help with the ePSXe installations

    @dfreer
    Sweet! Thanks! You rock.

    @snkmad
    See the post just before yours.... Add his repositories, and install the 2 he just listed from it. As for all at once, those 2 repositories are the closest yuo are going to get.

    Re: Install ePSXe Playstation Emulator

    Does anyone know if there is a way to use a controller plugin with ePSXe, instead of the built-in one? Or, if that's not possible, is there anything special I need to do to get it to accept keypresses from my USB controller (logitech dual action, works perfectly in zsnes, pSX, PCSX, and other emulators)? I know it's located at /dev/input/js0, perhaps it's ePSXe is looking in a different location?

    EDIT: Reading through this thread a little more carefully, it appears like it's definitely possible to use this controller, with a controller plugin like omnijoy or padjoy. The only issue is that ePSXe doesn't appear to let me choose which plugin to use, by default it uses the builtin plugin.

    Do you have something else open that uses your sound card? If so, make sure that your doing "software mixing" in your Ubuntu sound configuration. Most sound cards don't do hardware mixing which means only 1 app can use it at a time without software mixing.

    No other program is open, only terminal.
    Its set by default to do software mixing:

    EDIT: after i unchecked that, its working now.
