    is there a KDE 4 version alternative to GNOME's gconf-editor?

    I'd like to know so I can finish setting up the desktop cube plugin for compiz fusion.

    No, I don't think KDE uses a registry like GNOME does. You just go through systemsettings.
    If people were nicer, I'd answer more queries here!

    You either go through the systemsettings GUI, edit the configuration files manually or use the commandline tool kwriteconfig. Make yourself a decent shell script and you should be fine to go...

    How would one go about editing the config of a KDE app using kwriteconfig?

    I want to change the scrobbler in Clementine which is a rewrite of Amarok
