I recently upgraded the kernel using dist-upgrade as I saw there was an upgrade available in the GUI upgrade manager. After installing I restarted as requested which led to the PC not being able to boot into ubuntu. The grub menu comes up and I select the new kernel option but then after about a minute or so of trying to load it falls back to BusyBox.

I upgraded from 2.6.24-19-generic to 2.6.24-22-generic (I think) on Hardy. I have a live CD available to use if that is needed. My current HDD setup is as so:

/dev/sda5 - /boot/
/dev/sda6 - /
/dev/sda7 - /home/

And if you do need any more information please feel free to ask.

Thanks in advance.
