    Alternate CD Ubuntu 8.04 screen goes blank

    Hi,
    I'm trying to install 8.04 using the alternate ISO. However, when I select install, the screen goes blank. I tried using apic=off and pnpbios=off but no success so far.

    I need the alternate ISO for encryption support.

    Any ideas?
