I have updated https://help.ubuntu.com/community/MacBook%20Aluminum with some of these changes that worked for me.
With this configuration, the two finger horizontal scroll doesn't run, i've added those lines in /etc/X/xorg.conf to solve this.
How is possible that i had to add this lines in /etc/X/xorg.conf if they are already in the "hal policy file" /etc/hal/fdi/policy/11-x11-synaptics.fdi ?
Another one. Somebody has achieve to run the backlight level with the FN keys?Section "InputDevice"
Identifier "Synaptics Touchpad"
Driver "synaptics"
Option "SendCoreEvents" "True"
Option "Protocol" "auto-dev"
Option "SHMConfig" "True"
Option "ClickFinger1" "1"
Option "ClickFinger2" "3"
Option "ClickFinger3" "2"
Option "TapButton1" "0"
Option "TapButton2" "0"
Option "TapButton3" "0"
Option "VertTwoFingerScroll" "1"
Option "HorizTwoFingerScroll" "1"
EndSection
thanks for your time

Hi!
A few questions concerning a MacBook 4,1 and Ubuntu:
- Did somebody has found a way to make the mic work?
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+s...ux/+bug/289552
- Now as I have extracted the usb-driver for the iSight, I like
to use it in skype. Has anybody managed to make a video conference
with skype?
- On the Mac side I tried to install an ext3fs driver. I installed "Ext2FS_1.4d4.dmg", but it complains about a corrupt ext3fs file system.
Can somebody recommend a good driver?
- Did somebody experience problems burning CD's? It seems I can't burn Medion CD's. Strange...
- Did somebody manage to make a dualhead setup?
Thanks and friendly regards,
beauman
P.S.: There is a little summary of my installation of Ibex on the MacBook using refit as bootmanager,

Beauman, I noticed that you linked to the main MacBook wiki page. Since you are dealing with the MacBook4,1 you should check this one:
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/MacBook_Santa_Rosa
That page applies to both MacBook3,1 and MacBook4,1. If there is anything there that needs to be updated please do so!
... there is also the option of creating a new page, specifically for MacBookPro4,1 and Intrepid. Many things changed (to the better) with Intrepid. The page becomes much cleaner, and less confusing both to Hardy and Intrepid users. Checkout this page: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Ma...1 and Intrepid
