Pidgin QQ - can't login

When I try to login to QQ using Ubuntu 7.10 and Pidgin 2.2.1 I always get a "wrong password" error.

Login and password are correct and work with Pidgin from Xp.

Any ideas?

Settings are:

QQ
############ (QQ number)
******** (Password)
Me (screen name)

On advanced I tried no TCP and TCP port 0

MSN is working fine on the same PC.

try to turn proxy off (use no proxy option in advance settings)
try to find out the default QQ server and server port and adjust those in advance settings.

Guys, I know it's kind of too late to continue your discussion, but same problem has re-appeared to me recently, since Tencent company has modified the QQ protocol and login has become impossible in Pidgin. Has anyone found a solution for that problem?
