Firefox address bar steals focus when using cellwriter

Hi,

I have a tablet laptop so use cellwriter (on screen keyboard) a lot. Whenever I'm typing a URL into the new smart address bar in Firefox 3, each new character entered via cellwriter causes the drop down section with the addresses to pop up, stealing focus from the text input area of the address bar.

This means every time I enter a character into the address bar, I have to return the cursor back to the text input field as it no longer has focus.

Does anyone know if there's anything I can do to fix this problem? I'm not sure if this should be submitted as a bug on launchpad as it's not an issue with Ubuntu specifically.

Any advice would be appreciated.
