Hi, your FAQ was really well written. I followed it step by step even tho my audio playback was fine. I was missing on lib tho. Anyways I need help getting Audacity to record for me again. Ever since switching to 8.1 I have not been able to record at all. I've tried every possible setting in the sound menu and tried both front an back inputs. Any help would be apprectiated

Is the info posted in the original post still relevant and current? If not, could someone please direct me to a more recent (perhaps more detailed) guide?

...or explain the differences between this guide and the current situation of audio in Ubuntu?
