For the love of Linux/Unix.
I hate Windows!
Just curious.

Why do you use Linux?
* It's more suited for the job of a desktop. * It gives me the freedom of controlling my laptop/desktop rather than being controlled!! * I want to learn as much as I can in my life time. for that, I guess Linux is the best cos it is open source. I can learn its internals and how each and every process/program run in the machine * I get all my programming tools free (as in freedom) and I have no restrictions to use them (In Linux, I have freedom to anything and everything. nothing is impossible in Linux) * No viruses (more or less) * Awesome networking tools, stealthy, uncomplicated, extensive assistance without having to scour Google search to get fixes and support. No adware/spamware browser slow-downs....granular security! * it's fast and doesn't frequently crash * compiz fusion is giving gr8 graphics effects * there are some many freewares available for it. * different, customizable and funny to use (outstanding from the crowd) But I have prob. with it. it requires me to download large packages recurrently. The updates are tiny though
Vive la liberté, and because it teach me how to be free
Linux = efficiency + beauty + power It is a really fantastic OS, the life is more beautiful without error messages and without virus nor unpredictable crashes, more need to format its Pc every day...

And how if we reverse the question : Why you didn't use Linux? or more precisely : Why didn't you "make the choice" to use "freely" Linux? Anyway, i think that Hanen answered very well to the question. Thx Hanen.
