KDE4 System Tray Icons Background Broken

KDE 4.1.2

The tray icons in KDE4 have black background. After a while it gets worse. The background sometimes covers the icons and usually changes the "texture" to the context of some previous window.
It happens with or without compositing (Kwin or Compiz).

Has anyone else noticed this? I didn't find any bug reports about it. It's kind of hard to describe it, so here's a picture:

I've got the same problem. Someone told me it's a known issue and a fix is being worked on. We just have to wait.

Supposedly this has been fixed since KDE4.3.
