XP tablet and Standby and Hibernate missing

I have fresh installed XP tablet on my HP tx1000. There is now no option for standby and hibernate, both on shutting the lid or on shutdown. What is the problem. Does anyone know. I had Vista on beofre and it worked, but I hate vista it is too slow

Simply install service pack 2, and you'll get the standby and hibernate. Don't stop at just service pack 2, though. There's a lot of windows updates and another service pack (#3) that you would be wise to install.
