    After being defeated by the mail script, I was not to be denied!

    The music script works great. Hopefully execibar will get a size attribute sometime soon, so it can be the same size as my other bars.

    Ok, I sort of spoke too soon.

    I seem to have artifacts from the previous song played that appear below the current song. It looks something like this:

    [=======progress bar======]
    Time stuff
    Title
    Artist
    Rating

    Portion of previous title
    Previous rating

    Other than making my conky area smaller, how do I get rid of that?

    I'm also getting "Unknown" for some entries even though 1) I have no "Unknowns" in my music collection, and I've used the -u switch to suppress the Unknowns.

    lol! I'm not even sure what Deluge is.

    I think I have my previous problem solved. I had the --nounknown option in the conkyrc instead of the template. When I moved all the options to the template file, the display cleared up. So far.

    Fingers crossed that that was it.

    what version of conky are you running?
    if it is just from the hardy repos, you may need to compile the next version from sourceforge.
    i had problems with version 1.5.1 from the repos because it didnt agree with any {execi} option

    AMD Turion 64 X2 Mobile technology @2.2GHz, 2 GiB RAM, 320 GiB HDD Windows 7 Ultimate RC1

    please remember to thank those that helped you

    1.5.1

    So far it's been running for close to an hour and everything looks correct.

    EDIT: I went ahead and bumped it up to 1.6.1 anyway.

    Can you try the attached script, I have amended it in a couple of places to hopefully handled what you need.

    just run it like before, except using the python command, e.g.

    Code:
    ${exec python /path/to/file/conkyRhythmbox.py ..options...}
    If that doesn't help, can you provide with with a link to an offending mp3/ogg to try out?

    Can you try this if you wouldn't mind?

    Doesn't want to download, I just get "waiting..."

    Is there not a legal download on a good site I can use?

    kaivalagi, I just tried that song, and here's what it looks like on my conky. Looks fine, except for the Korean characters in the title that my font doesn't have an equivalent for.

    I'm guessing it's something just simple like not using a supported font right? How would I find out a list of fonts that support Korean Chinese and Japanese?
