    Temporary failure in name resolution

    I opened my desktop computer to install a hard drive I had come upon. There were already 3 hard drives in the machine. Before I did this, Ubuntu worked perfectly.
    Since I did this, Ubuntu gives the following amongst a lot of other text on booting up:

    "Temporary failure in name resolution"
