minimizing firefox

Something odd is happening.

When I minimize a firefox internet web page it seems to hide. I do not know where they go. I am unable to access or close windows that I have minimized now. I think I have about 30 minimized windows I need to close from this morning.

I don't know how to get them back, but if you type killall firefox, or run gnome-system-monitor, you can kill them.

do you have a bottom panel, or an AWN bar?

What version of Ubuntu are you using? Not in the bottom or top tool bar I´m guessing.

I am using 8.04 and firefox 3.

They don't show in the bottom tool bar. I don't know why.

By your replies I will assume that this is either a temporary thing or is very uncommon.

then i would go ahead and killall as posted above, then restart mozilla.

Right click on your bottom panel click add to panel. Scroll to bottom of list and add "window list". You must have accidentally removed it.
