    Create program desktop icon

Hi I'm new to Linux just migrated from windows I have spent all week setting up my programs using various help found on the web, but I'm having a problem. I use Arachnophilia for web development I have downloaded Arachnophilia.jar form their site, set up java run time and Arachnolphilia using the terminal command java -jar Arachnophilia.jar now to run the program I have to keep typing this command into the terminal. It says on their website you can create a desktop icon but not how any idea's

    Thanks

Right Click on your desktop select Create Launcher.

Browse your way to the application and give it a name.

    Re: Create program desktop icon

    if you can simply type
    Code:
    java -jar Arachnophilia.jar
to start the program, you should be able to use the same command in the launcher setup
    Debian Testing(64bit) + XFCE4 AM2 5200+ ATI Radeon HD4350, 4gig RAM,320Gig and 750gig HDs

what's the difference between an answer and a solution? An answer is what they want to hear, a solution is what they don't want to hear

They're not called .exe in Linux they're called .bin

    They're usually in /usr/bin or /usr/share/bin
