If anyone wants a black mac OS X like theme, ill be happy to upload it.currently works only for the mac menu theme
Its great to see that you got into modding yourself As for the font color for an applet, it is not in the gtkrc file. It has to be set by the applet itself. So look for config/settings/prefs of the respective applet.

I'm sorry I fail to understand your question. Can you elaborate that a bit?

Lin-X is still using the older version of Ubuntu. I am yet to pass on the latest version of Mac4Lin to them for integration.

Mac4Lin installation already does it. The documentation contains how to do this since the first version. Do checkout the latest docs. It has some more tweaking info.

I'm planning to work with them in integrating Mac4Lin natively

Re: Mac4Lin - New releases, discussions, comments etc.

    Hi,

I love the mac4lin theme for gnome. It's perfect if the compiz fusion was fast enough on my ati radeon mobility x1400. Actually, I don't know how it will be for the new 9.04. I am still on 8.04.

However, I looked at the new kde 4.2, and it looks so much better than gnome, in features too. Plasma already integrates mac os x widgets which is a big plus. I like the look of kde. It looks modern. In fact, it looks good enough to not use compiz fusion on it.

So, I will be trying the kubuntu this time around.

What do you guys think about kde vs. gnome this time around (9.04)? KDE just looks so polished. Gnome rots.

Its very true, KDE is a mature DE. With 4.2, it is showing its true potential. I feel KDE looks more polished and is closer to Windows; while GNOME is simple, not very polished and similar to Mac OS X.
