I have a good tip for the Mac4Lin project. "Global Menu". Take a look here: http://code.google.com/p/gnome2-globalmenu/
Some links that may help: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Subversion

I do make a mention of Global Menu in the documentation. In fact Mac4Lin has a theme exclusively for people who use Global Menu in the pack. But since I am not the developer I do not bundle it with Mac4Lin.

Sure I will do that
Install subversion on Ubuntu from terminal: sudo apt-get install subversion
You can then run 'svn' to pull the files from the repo: svn checkout https://mac4lin.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/mac4lin
This will download all the files from SVN to ~/mac4lin folder. Do note that these files are decompressed. So you will need to put the folders in appropriate folders (like the Mac4Lin Icons folder to ~/.icons, the various GTK themes folder in ~/.themes and so on). Or you can compress the folders in .tar.gz and install using Appearances Dialog box as you would install any other UI theme.
Hope that helps
PS: I've blogged about using subversion so that more people can pull down the Mac4Lin v1.0 RC2 file and here. Head here: http://phoenix-ani.blogspot.com/2009...d-install.html

Aright that worked. . ....getting it that is.
However I don't know how to install everything. I packagaged it and it was ' invalid theme ' when I went that route.
I don't know what folders to put the new ones at.
My rc1 folder is in my home directory, but that's not where everything is installed.
Do I just transfer everything to the rc1 folder and reinstall?
No, you just cannot tar up the whole folder. You need to individually tar the GTK theme folders, Icon theme folder and then install via the Appearances dialog. Try it. If it doesn't work then just head to the link on my blog in my previous post. Hopefully you'll be able to install it
