    Proxy Settings

    How do I configure the proxy settings on my ubuntu hardy....

    i logon to the net using a http/ftp proxy and have to log in to the proxy server using a id and passwrd....

    so how do i configure ssh,telnet, apt-get, the synaptic manager and other applications that need to connect to the net to use these proxy settings....

    System->Administration->Network, on the "Connection" tab -> click on Wired Connection and click on "Properties" -> you're Proxy is equivalent to your Gateway Address.
    Steady movement is more important than speed, much of the time. So long as there is a regular progression of Stimuli to get your mental hooks into, there is room for lateral movement. Once this begins, its rate is a matter of discretion.
