    Probably where that exists repository with Firefox 3.1 ?

    If you refer to version 3.0.1 it should be available when you next update apt.

    He is probably referring to 3.1 which is still in Alpha stage of testing. For something so early in testing stages I highly recommend getting it directly from Mozilla.

    Alpha builds won't be in the repos.

    Giving software out in the repos means it would automatically upgrade everyone to the latest.

    Go to Mozilla's site and have a looksies around.

    I think it's mentioned in the second post that there is a PPA with firefox 3.1 around.
