Updated to Hardy..... now my resolution is shot...tried Envy but get error on install

So, I updated to Hardy Heron.

    Everything went smoothly.

At the end of the install I was given the options to input what monitor I use.

I entered in all the info but when after I booted up the resolution was way low and no options were available to enter the proper.

Using an LG Flatron btw. I have an Nvida Video card.

So I try to load Envy via Synaptic.

It downloads but then errors out with the following:

    """An error occured.

E:nvidia-glx: subprocess post-removal script returned error exit status 2"""

    What do I do now??

Thanks for pointing that thread out.

I'll try that when I get home.
