    Re: Copy text from terminal

highlight it while holding the left mouse button and then right click - copy

I know there is a keyboard command but can't think of it right now, to paste into the terminal its CTRL - Shift - V. Might be CTRL - Shift - C?
    Debian Testing(64bit) + XFCE4 AM2 5200+ ATI Radeon HD4350, 4gig RAM,320Gig and 750gig HDs

what's the difference between an answer and a solution? An answer is what they want to hear, a solution is what they don't want to hear

    Re: Copy text from terminal

In the terminal you have to use shift as well CTRL+SHIFT+C will copy and CTRL+SHIFT+V will paste.

    Sorry for the useless thread.

you just need to highlight all the text and then middle-click on where you want to paste it.

    Re: Copy text from terminal

    gnome-terminal and xfce4-terminal: Ctrl+Shift+c (copy) and Ctrl+Shift+v (paste)

xterm: Ctrl+Insert (copy) and Shift+Insert (paste)

If you are using a 3 button mouse, then highlight the text and use the middle mouse button to paste.
