I just installed Ubuntn yesterday. This is my first attempt with Linix, so far so good. I was wanting to access my ntfs partishion, but can't figure out how. Thank you.

How did you install ubuntu, is this a wubi install or did you install it on a second hard drive?

In nautilus, you should be able to access the ntfs partition or drive.

It would be in the left plane.

Just double click it and it will mount.

btw, nautilus is the file manager. Open it by going to "places -> home".

well if ur dual booting with windows, make sure u didnt hibernate and make sure u shutdown ur windows properly cause in both cases windows flags the ntfs partitions as used and therefore ubuntu cant access them.
