Some questions about ext4

I was thinking about formatting my harddisk using ext4. Now, I have a questions about it:

Since it's still under development, if I format now, I will miss some features/enhancements, and I'll have to format again to get them? Or just upgrading some programs will do it?

So, in the end the question is: Is it a matter of HOW the disk is formatted, or there is some kind of "fs manager" who needs to get upgraded?

I hope the question is clear, I had troubles making it ^^"

Usually if there is an update to have the full benefit of it you will have to reformat.

Nothing wrong with your ENG
I am still learning after almost 33 years, ENG is my native language.

Very experimental yet. I would stick to ext3 for now.
