    Was closing this thread an appropriate action?

    I found nothing wrong or offensive in this thread. Should the moderator have closed this? or is there another more appropriate action that should have been taken?

    The thread didn't start off to a very positive tone and we were uneasy about where it was headed down. Since the forum member in question is not allowed to participate in the discussions, it would've been a difficult and unjust situation if negative remarks were made at him while he is not here to say things on his behalf.

    I think closing of the thread was an appropriate action. The question posed in the thread was answered by the final post and no further discussion was necessary.
