[Xubuntu 8.04 on Dell Laptop] What file system to use and how to change it??

    I currently, have a Dell Inspiron 8200 Laptop, 1.8Ghz, 784MB RAM, 60GB Hard Drive.

I installed Xubuntu and got it where I like it. I used ReiserFS. I heard it was faster and it does seem to be faster, which I like.

But, I heard that it has a tendency to crash and do bad things... That Ext3 is very slow (I experienced that), and XFS is very fast, however has problems at times if the hard drive is not shut down correctly.

I do not want problems, I heard that JFS is better than ReiserFS...

    Anyhow, my question is

    1. Which file system is best on xubuntu?
    2. Can I change the file system without having to do a full reinstall of the OS?

    Thanks!
