    Unhappy Shell while installing ubuntu.

I already searched around, and couldn't find any help, so I'm posting here.

Basically, I go to install it, and instead of the nice installer gui I have used before, I get a console.

    System Specs:
    CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 @ 2.4 GHz
Graphics Card: Nvidia GeForce 9600 GT
    RAM: 2 GB
    Hard Drive: 75 GB SATA

Please help me install ubuntu, I'M TIRED OF USING VISTA!!!

You can dual boot Vista with Ubuntu if you like.
The live cd or desktop install should work fine for you. The install is quite easy but here are some links to refer to:

    Re: Shell while installing ubuntu.

    I don't think you understand.
I have had ubuntu before, and every other time it has installed without a hitch.

The problem is, instead of installing, it gives me a console.

(Your links are broken to btw.)
