I have a dell inspiron 9300 laptop with the intel 2200bg wireless hardware device. The problem is that iwconfig doesn't see my wireless hardware:
The funny thing is lspci sees the card (it is the very last item in the list):Code:$ sudo iwconfig lo no wireless extensions. eth0 no wireless extensions. eth1 radio off ESSID:"" Mode:Managed Channel:0 Access Point: Not-Associated Bit Rate:0 kb/s Tx-Power=off Sensitivity=8/0 Retry limit:7 RTS thr:off Fragment thr:off Encryption key:off Power Management:off Link Quality:0 Signal level:0 Noise level:0 Rx invalid nwid:0 Rx invalid crypt:0 Rx invalid frag:0 Tx excessive retries:0 Invalid misc:0 Missed beacon:0

I'm using hardy heron. I've followed the basic guidlines from here: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Wi...er/Ndiswrapper
Each time, I've used the 2200BG driver from the dell support page or from the ndiswrapper sourceforge drivers. Every time I followed these guidelines I've had to add an extra step:
I'm figuring that this is associated with the fact that iwconfig doesn't see my wireless card.Code:sudo ndiswrapper -a 8086:4220 net4x32
Nonetheless, the little green light on my wifi icon on my laptop doesn't light up in ubuntu, but does in windows XP. I've tried Fn+F2, but that doesn't work either. ANY HELP IS APPRECIATED![]()
